Breathing Air Apparatus
For use in confined space work, a reliable Breathing Air Apparatus set works as life-saving personal protection equipment. Our service team recently refreshed their skills and knowledge through practical Breathing Apparatus User training conducted by Drager Australia. The two day training focused on using, maintaining, inspecting and servicing breathing apparatus.
So what is Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus?
Self-Contained Breathing Air Apparatus sets comprise of three main components – a compressed air cylinder, a back plate to hold the cylinder with a pressure regulator, and a face mask. These pieces work together to ensure the breathing device allows a worker to perform duties safely in a hazardous environment for a period of time.
When do I use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus?
S.C.B.A is used wherever actual or potential contamination endanger the health of operators.
How long do the cylinders have air?
Our self-contained breathing apparatus (S.C.B.A) cylinders last for 45 minutes. We also hire multiple spare bottles for short term entry up to 45 minutes per bottle.
