Air Powered Services Wins Hire Company of the Year Award
Melbourne-based hire company Air Powered Services (APS) has taken out the state award for Hire Company of the Year at the Victorian Hire and Rental Industry Association’s annual general meeting.
APS won the award in the over-$3M category, narrowly beating out one of the largest hire companies in Australia.
The awards are judged by a panel of experts made up of industry suppliers, who take into account 36 different criteria when making their decision. These criteria include the nominees’ safety processes (ensuring best work practices to enhance safety for all staff and customers), hire fleet quality and reliability, plant & equipment, community involvement, and customer feedback.
Victorian President of the HRIA, Jarrod Kerr, had this to say about the state awards:
“These awards are a great way to keep hire companies accountable and to give them something to aspire to. The winners of these awards are at the forefront of the hire industry in terms of safety standards, customer service, and range of equipment on offer. Air Powered Services are a worthy recipient.”
Mr Kerr added that the Association encourages other hire companies to visit the winner’s premises and see the standards being set at the pinnacle of the hire industry.
This award puts APS in a prime position to win a Hire Company of the Year award at next year’s national awards. Winners at the national awards for the last two years running (Generator Rentals Australia in 2014 and Kerr’s Hire in 2013) had been winners of the award at the state level the previous years.
Air Powered Services’ General Manager, Matthew Bleeze, had this to say about winning the award:
“We’re honoured to receive this level of recognition from the HRIA at the state awards. We appreciate the trust placed in us as a leader in the hire industry, and look forward to maintaining this reputation in the future by continuing to innovate and offer the best level of service to our customers.”
The award ceremony was held at the Victorian HRIA’s annual general meeting at Melbourne’s Carlton Brewhouse in November.
